Help Support Downtown Richmond Businesses

Over the last year or so, many thousands of Richmond Dollars have been sold to area citizens. Originally RABA developed Richmond Dollars as the $100 prize in the “So You Think You Know Richmond” contests to focus on downtown Richmond businesses impacted by the bridge closing. OneRichmond realized Richmond Dollars’ direct benefit in supporting downtown businesses and sold $15,000 at a 20% discount. A few thousand more Richmond Dollars were sold and put into circulation.
RABA’s Treasurer recently reported that about $1700 of Richmond Dollars have yet to be spent. Although the bridge is open our downtown Richmond businesses still need our continued support. Although most Richmond Dollars have an expiration date of 3/31/2010 or earlier, participating businesses and professionals will continue to accept them for awhile.
Dig out those un-spent Richmond Dollars and spend them in the next few weeks before you forget you have them or lose them.
