RABA at the Farmers Market, 2010

RABA is very excited to announce that we have now secured a space at the Richmond Farmers Market which can offer exposure to your business if you fit the mold of make it, bake it or grow it.  If this is your business and you're a paid RABA member then this might be a great opportunity for you.  Would you like to bring your product to market without the commitment of an entire summer?

If so please contact Lynn Mason at 434-4142 and secure your slot today

More great news from the Farmer's Market

ARE YOU READY FOR JUNE 4th? 'Buy Local, Buy Fresh' at the first Richmond Farmers' Market of the 2010 season.

There is nothing like fresh seasonal lettuce, turnip greens, scallions, rhubarb, radishes, eggs and meats.  Plus, there will be plenty of fresh baked pies, breads, pastries, tarts, peanut butter,  cookies, bagels, samosas, tacos, Bosnian foods, grilled burgers, fresh popped popcorn, zucchini relish, lemonade, tea, jams, canned veggies, honey and maple syrup.  Don’t forget to bring home a bouquet of fresh cut flowers for the table.   Some of our crafters this year will feature jewelry, wooden bowls, knit goods, birdhouses, cards, photos, candles, soaps, lotions, hand painted shirts, chill collars, and pottery.  To put a real smile on your face, Lienne Bick will be happy to paint your face while you enjoy the Market.

June 4th - The opening day of the Richmond Farmers’ Market will feature Tammy Fletcher, Bob Hill and Jim Pitman on Stage from 5:00 to 6:00 Let’s welcome back the spectacular 'Mountain Girl.' Tammy Fletcher can sing….it’s as simple as that!  Her stellar performance of our National Anthem at Boston’s Fenway Park made it a true song of hope and glory. She has been acknowledged along with Grace Potter as the best female singer in Vermont by the Vermont arts magazine Seven Days’ annual poll.  Tammy’s voice has an amazing range: she is capable of delivering powerful Aretha and Janis style vocals, as well as, more subtle K. D. Lang or Alison Krauss stylings. Vermont musician Trey Anastasio calls Tammy one of his favorite singers, and invited her to perform on stage with Phish.  She has an uncanny ability to adapt to different genres and sing with ease, be it rock and roll or opera, country or the blues; she has done it all.

At the market, Tammy will be backed up by Bob Hill on guitar and Jim Pitman on the dobra.  You might remember Bob Hill from Clay Brook Farm.  For many years Bob was a vendor at the RFM and offered an array of the most beautiful vegetables the Market had to offer.

Also, if you are in need of a new summer look, Lienne Bick, a talented face painter, will be on hand to add a little whimsy to your day.

The Market is open from 3:00 to 6:30 on Volunteers Green in Richmond.   Come and meet your Local Growers and Buy Local.  The Richmond Farmers’ Market participates in the Farm to Family Program and now accepts EBT and Debit cards.
