The Best of Bolton, Huntington & Richmond Area Map, 2010-2011 EditionRichmondBadge

Kathy Murphy with Resort Maps, publisher of the Best of Bolton, Huntington, Richmond Map including Waterbury on the other side, wants to let community businesses know that she is working on the ad renewals for the 2010-2011 edition of the map. From June 2010 through June 2011 100,000 of the maps will be distributed throughout our area from about 145 venues such as local restaurants and retail stores plus Vermont State Welcome Centers, I-89 Williston Southbound Rest Area, Ben & Jerry’s Factory, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Waterbury Train Station, Cabot Cheese Annex, Smugglers Notch Resort and many Burlington area hotels…). The maps are also given to Tour Bus Drivers and used as a fulfillment piece for email and phone calls requesting the maps for convention and meeting groups, weddings, individual travelers, etc. In addition to the printed maps, it is on the Web with links to advertisers’ Websites and descriptions.

Please see the map at http://www.resortmaps.com/Vermont/Map-of-Richmond.

Kathy says, “We look forward to another great year of working with Richmond, Bolton and Huntington Area Businesses in helping to promote their businesses and in promoting the whole region”. The more people the map attracts to the area the more they will stop and enjoy the many great sites and stores, services, and restaurants the RABA area has to offer… and hopefully come again!” We began including the RABA region with our Waterbury map in 2007 which was a fantastic addition to the existing Waterbury map. Many of my Waterbury advertisers tell me they use the map to send visitors to the ski areas, restaurants, Little River State Park, Camel’s Hump trailhead, the Vermont Bird Museum, etc. It is the perfect marriage of two great regions.”

I am happy to meet and explain in more detail the benefits of the map. Just call me at 802-882-1962 and we can set up a time to meet.”

Please read what a few of our repeat & new advertisers have to say about the map:

“In a "down" market, I have been working harder to reach out to new customers.  I am hoping that an ad on the Richmond-Bolton Area Resort Map will enhance my business' visibility to area visitors who might need immediate towing or locksmith services. The cost of about a dollar a day, with around 100,000 possible visitor impressions (printed, internet impressions unknown) made it a pretty easy calculation to add to my budget.”

“One of the reasons the map is of value to me is that Sleepy Hollow Inn, who hosts a lot of weddings, sends their overflow guests to the Richmond Victorian Inn. The map shows how easily it is to get to and from the inns. It is a handy tool since otherwise they might get lost!! It is a very detailed map and I use it daily to guide my guests to the Camels Hump trail, to area restaurants, to maple syrup and tree farms, local shops and more.”

“As an innkeeper I find the map to be an invaluable tool to enhance our customer service with our guests.”

Frank  Stewart, Owner
Richmond Victorian Inn, Richmond

“I love the map because I remember what it was like before the map was around and we were trying to draw by hand directions for guests. Now all I need to do is grab the map and it is done for me! We use a marker to show people how to get from place to place plus the contact info is right there on the map in the ads. I use it to direct our guests to Ben & Jerry’s, to downtown Richmond to show restaurants, etc, Camels Hump, Huntington Gorge, and more. Guests also take it to look at the map on their own. I would not want to go back to the days without having the map…”
Eli Enman, Owner
Sleepy Hollow Inn, Huntington

“I think the Resort Map is good visibility for the money …”

David Healy in recommending the ad renewal to Marilyn Cochran, Cochran Ski Area

"Although the map does not draw specific customers to my business I see a huge value in that it associates us with the positive and established tourist based economy of the Waterbury/Stowe area and in turn supports my retail and hospitality clients. It adds credibility to our community and does a great job marketing the RABA area. The more people that stay off the Interstate the better off we all are!"

“I personally have loved the Resort Maps’ style of map for many years and had wanted our area to have one drawn for a long time. Back in 2006, I approached RABA about having one created and was relieved and thrilled when it came to fruition. The Best of Richmond Area map is colorful and handy. A lot of tourists pick the map up and review them and use them!  As a business person I am pleased that it is easy for out-of-towners to find me with my ad and building drawn on the map. Since the Best of Richmond Area Map came to town, I am happy I don’t have to be standing out in front of my store using my hands to give directions!! Before this map was here I had to call the State of Vermont for maps but now I just use this one. It would be great to have more local businesses also support it with an ad.”
