| NEW LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR’S LETTER OF INTRODUCTION |
|
Hello. I’m Barbara Clearbridge and am new in town, having only moved to Vermont a year ago. I’m a medical intuitive and an energy-work practitioner. I’m certified in Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch through the Holistic Nurses’ Association and am a Reiki Master, in the Usui Healing Tradition. I have studied a variety of other techniques with individual teachers and am the author of three books: Heal With Your Hands; Recovery: Women’s Words About Healing After Trauma; and Finding God by Learning How to Pray. Energy work operates on the basis of two principles; first, the electromagnetic nature of the body (which conventional medicine uses in many ways, too), and on the existence of an energy system in the body (the principle behind acupuncture, tai chi, and other Eastern arts and sciences), the health of which is essential to overall good health. For more information about the work or myself, please go to my website: www.FeelingMuchBetter.org . Previously, I’ve practiced in Washington State, on the Olympic Peninsula and Seattle, since 1986. I moved here to be closer to aging parents. I first started in Burlington, but I’m more of a rural person. I’m so pleased to have found Richmond—it’s so beautiful and so ideally located. Plus, the community is strong and vibrant. I love it here, after my first five weeks. I write not only to introduce myself, but to ask for a helping hand. Or helping walls... I had expected to practice out of my home, but that turned out to be impossible. I’m scrambling now for office space. I’m willing to share, as I need an office only on Mondays, Fridays, and one additional evening. An occasional Saturday would be helpful but not required. I see only 3-7 people in a week. I am compensated for my work by “love offerings” (donations), so my income is uncertain. So the rent has to be either very reasonable or a percentage of what I earn. Eventually, I’ll know how much Vermonters usually pay, and then I can offer more for rent. I need an accessible place—no more than a few stairs (with good banisters) unless there’s an elevator. A waiting area and rest room are also necessities. It can be in a professional setting or more informal, such as a mother-in-law apartment or an extra room in someone’s home, if it’s animal-free (some clients have severe allergies). Thank you for any suggestions. I look forward to meeting you all. Barbara Clearbridge 802-324-9149 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
