Beacon Light Grange Honors 4th of July Parade and Fireworks Committee June 3.
What is the best community party of the year? Many would say Richmond’s 4th of July. Starting with a mile run down the hill from school to green, followed by a great parade and field day with lots of food and fun, and topped off by a fantastic fireworks display. But do you know who plans all of this fun? For the past 22 years, it has been a small committee of people dedicated to producing a great family-fun day. Beacon Light Grange has named the parade and fireworks committee as “Citizens of the Year”. The committee will be honored at a reception on June 3 at 7 pm at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church Hall. Like the 4thof July – everyone is invited! Come and pay your respects to the wonderful folks who work all year to give us a great celebration. Share your fondest 4th of July memories.
